  We have used them for a couple of years now. However, this year my wife picked up our tax return from them, and was reported to owe $2,800 dollars in taxes. My wife was shocked because we had never owed that much before, and began to worry. She then took it to H&R Block to see if they could find more deductions we could claim to help lower the amount owed. H&R not only found a simple mathematical error on Dean's part, but also E-Filed it for us, for a discounted rate and we now show that we get back $170.00, BIG DIFFERENCE! The error found was when Dean's Tax Center added both my wife's and My W2 tax deductions, simple right. You would have thought this would have been caught, if they re verified their work. This leads me to believe either, they do not verify their work, or the mistake was incompetently overlooked by more than one person. My wife called them to request a refund, and the first response was "IRS would have caught the mistake and refunded your money". Then after my wife explained what happened, they began to blame her for not bringing it back to be re-checked.... WOW!!. If we had known the issue, I assure you we would have brought it back, and not paid the additional $50.00+ dollars to H&R Block. My wife was really upset, while the lady kept blaming her for not bring the tax return back to be rechecked. I called back to explain what had happened, and was hung up on shortly after. I then called back, and was rudely spoken to. This was when I informed them we will not longer use their services again, and I was to warn others who used their services to double check their work, because they obviously do not. I had thought to cancel the check we just wrote, but decided against it because, as incompetent as the work was, they did do the work. Dean's had offered to add a credit to next years return... as if I would re-live this issue over again. Why use them, if I feel I cannot trust them to verify, file the tax return properly, and be treated something other than a customer. I am not asking you not to use them, but if you do... Ensure you re-check their work!!
